Borghese - B Gloss Lip Gloss

Hello !

I'm in the search for the perfect lip gloss! I got the Borghese B Lip Gloss in Fiore, I like to try different colors to see which are the best ones for my skin tone and use for every occasion.

This is what I experienced:

The color is a pretty pink rose, it adds a medium amount of shimmer, I really like that is not as sticky as many lip glosses are, it looks great on its own, but  I like to use it over lipstick to add more color !

The formula is thick, you can feel it when you rub your lips and it lasts a long time! I really really like the smell, it's kind of vanilla and almond.

The main before/after difference is that my lips feel moisturized and I love that the gloss contains Avocado oil, Jojoba oil and Aloe!

BIRCHBOX - February 2013 Review

Hello everyone !

As a sampler addict I always try to see what are the new products out there and getting a box full of samples it's a big joy for me, maybe it's the fact that you don't know what's inside that makes it so exiting!

I'm subscribed to Birchbox, it's a service that delivers a box of deluxe samples to your home every month. To ensure you get samples that you like, each box is customized to the beauty profile you fill in their webpage, the box usually comes with 4 or 5 samples and sometimes it may even come a full-sized product! It includes tips and tutorials. The cost is $10 per month, which is a really good price for the variety of products that you get!

In a future post I'll talk about other Sampling Services!

Birchbox has a great points program, for every 100 points, you earn $10 in Birchbox credits which you can use to buy other products! If you complete surveys you get 10 points and if you refer a friend you get 50 points!

ALGENIST - 10 Day Challenge

Hello!

Let's take the challenge! I got this samples yesterday from Algenist in a promotion they did on their Facebook page, and I'm ready to use them for the next 10 days, so I'll keep you posted on the results !

Burt's Bees - Sensitive daily moisturizing cream

I got some samples of the Burt's Bees  Sensitive daily moisturizing cream a couple of weeks ago.  I like Burt's Bees very much because the company makes their products with natural ingredients and they engage in environmental friendly practices, it's always great being able to give back!

I tried them in the mornings after washing my face.

This is what I experienced:

It's a lightweight moisturizer so you don't need to use a huge amount of it, it has a nice scent, and like all Burt's Bees products, it is made with mainly natural ingredients.

I do have sensitive skin, so I like that it didn't cause any irritation at all, the only thing is that since it does not contain SPF I like to add some extra on my face, but everyone is different !

The main before/after difference is that my face feels smooth all day with no oily residue!

Clinique - Acne Solutions Clear Skin System Starter Kit

A couple of months ago I traded some of my Sephora Beauty Insider points to get a deluxe sample of the Clinique Acne Solutions Clear Skin System Kit, I always love to try samples before purchasing the full size product, because that way you can see exactly how the product works on you, I fell in love with Clinique products a long time ago, I will never forget the ads that had the baby chicken on it! do you remember them?

This is what I experienced:

On my deluxe sample I got a cleansing bar, but I noticed that on the actual kit it comes a cleansing foam instead.  I washed my face with the bar, then I applied the clarifying lotion and the clearing moisturizer at the end. I didn't see results the very next day but after a week I could see a difference in my skin, it was clearing up and I wasn't getting new break outs, the thing I like the most about it is that it did not dry out my skin like many acne treatments do.

The main before/after difference is that I got less break outs and my pores and scars became less visible!

StriVectin-TL 360° Tightening Eye Serum

I started using it before bedtime, it comes in a squeeze tube with a flat metal applicator on the top, I applied it under my eyes, I felt a nice cooling sensation.

COVERGIRL - Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm

It's Monday again ! I can't believe we are in the middle of February already !

Yesterday I went to buy some makeup and I found 2 CoverGirl Lip Balms that I really really like, they come in 16 different shades, I bought the Ballet Twist 205 (light for everyday use)  and the Jam Twist 255 (more intense color for a night out)

This is what I experienced:

Both gloss sticks give shine and moisture, they don't have a sticky feel that some others do, they are smooth and creamy, and the color last for a good amount of time, I think it's a great buy for the price!

The main before/after difference is that my lips are shiny and moisturized with the perfect amount of color.

Hello !

Did you know that magazines are a great way to get samples? Not all magazines always have, most of them include perfume samples to smell (which I like very much), but from time to time you can find some other surprises !

OLAY - Complete All Day UV Moisture Cream

First of all, I LOVE all Olay products ! I bought this moisture cream last month and I've been using it since then.

This is what I experienced:

When I wash my face in the mornings I apply a small amount over my face and neck, I like a lot the texture, is not to watery or greasy and it smells great!

Its light enough to use it twice a day, although I only use it in the mornings, my skin feels amazing throughout the day and it has UV protection so there's nothing more I can ask for !

Wait ! did I mention the price? I love Olay!

The main before/after difference is the soothing feeling in my skin, and knowing that my face is protected all day!

AHAVA - Purifying Mud Mask

I received a sample of this Purifying Mud Mask back in September in the Sample Society box from Beauty Bar, I tried it and I fell in love with it! I didn't use a lot of mud masks before, but this was different!

This is what I experienced:

I began using it in the mornings, after washing my face I applied it in my skin, it's so easy to spread and a small amount covers all your face, it goes a long way! the mud mask itself is a light gray color, and it stays that way in your skin, the texture is a little grit but it feels nice, it has a bit of an earthy smell.

The mask dries up quickly, and it tightens  a little bit too.

After 2 minutes I washed my face and I was really happy with the results! my skin felt so smooth and clean, I even noticed a difference with my pores!

The main before/after difference is the clean feeling in my face and I also noticed that my skin was less oily than usual through the rest of the day!

A couple of months ago I began using the Laser Resurfacing Serum from PHYSICIANS FORMULA (I won one in a Facebook promotion they did), and I absolutely love it!

This is what I experienced:

Every night, after washing my face, I applied a thin layer of the serum,  my skin felt an instant soothing cooling sensation, and it smells AMAZING, even my husband noticed it!

My skin started to feel so soft,  and I did notice a change around my eyes, the serums absorbs very quickly in the skin and it doesn't feels greasy at all. I started to use it in the mornings too!

I have to admit, I am a Product and Sampler lover, I'm fascinated by all the brands that create new products each year that can make our lives better, whether is makeup, hair, bath and body, skincare, fragrances and every little thing for our home, companies are getting bigger and better at it.

I started trying new products and getting samples a little over a year ago (I get samples from different blogs that post about promotions that companies do in Facebook or in their websites), and now I decided to create this blog to share my personal opinion and experiences that I've had, and some amazing finds I've discovered along the way.
